Rainy Kyoto

The flight left on time and it was very nice to be in the comfort of long haul Business class ( yay for frequent flyer points!)

Neil and I usually opt for seats on the window , one of us behind the other but this time we ended up in the “couples” seats in the middle which I quite liked.

The food this leg was really excellent, better than our outward trip. I think the timing of the departure meant I enjoyed it more too, a more civilized dinner time than those  really late departures.

I’ve managed to pick up a bit of a sore throat and sniffle in the last day so didn’t sleep brilliantly, but I guess I managed a few hours.

We arrived at Kansai airport Osaka a little early in absolutely pouring rain. I was very glad I’d decided to book us an airport transfer to Kyoto rather than taking the train. It was nice to sit back and relax for the 75 minute trip to Kyoto.

The hotel is right next door to the Central station and our room is comfortable but tiny! We walked down to find the location where we need to be at 7.30 tomorrow morning for our Hiroshima tour, it’s on the other side of the huge station.
